Privacy Notice

The Young Communist League of Europe (YCLE) is responsible for personal information handled for its website and public correspondence. This notice describes the information involved, the purposes of handling it and the contact route for questions and requests.

Correspondence

An enquiry can contain a name, email address, institutional role, message and attachments supplied by the sender. These details are used to understand and answer the enquiry, route it to the relevant function and keep a record of the matter.

The public addresses distinguish general, international, media, editorial and personal-data enquiries. Sending a message does not subscribe the sender to other communications. Ordinary enquiries require no identity document or declaration of political beliefs. Include only information relevant to the matter.

Cloudflare provides website hosting and network delivery. Requests involve technical information such as a network address, requested resource and security or diagnostic information. Processing through Cloudflare’s global infrastructure is described in its privacy policy.

The website includes no advertising or analytics scripts, visitor accounts or enquiry forms. Search and collection filters run in the browser using public page data. Their search terms are not sent to a separate search provider. The site’s own interface does not set tracking cookies or store a visitor profile; the delivery provider may process technical information for network security.

Purposes, access and retention

Correspondence is handled for the matter raised, related administration, security and any applicable obligation. Access is limited to the functions and service providers needed for those purposes. A private message is assessed separately from material intended for publication.

Retention depends on the purpose, any continuing need to keep a record and applicable obligations. A request about a particular communication can ask what information is held, why it is retained and the relevant handling arrangements. A requirement to preserve a record can affect a deletion request.

External services and international handling

Opening an external source takes the visitor to another operator’s service, with its own privacy and access arrangements. The League’s annotations remain available on this website independently of the external publisher’s interface.

International correspondence and global delivery infrastructure can involve handling outside Switzerland. Questions about the recipients, destination and safeguards relevant to a particular communication can be directed to the privacy contact.

Questions and requests

Write to privacy@ycle.org to ask about personal information concerning you, request correction of inaccurate details, seek deletion or raise another privacy matter. Identify the communication or context sufficiently for the enquiry to be understood. Verification, if required, is proportionate to the request; an identity document is not a default requirement.

Legal Notice identifies the website operator. Editorial corrections belong at Corrections; other public enquiries use the routes on Contact.
