Socialist principles
The League takes Marxism-Leninism, socialism with Chinese characteristics and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as its theoretical reference. It supports China’s socialist development and the study of the institutions and experience through which that development proceeds.
Its public work gives particular attention to production, public provision, science, ecology and peaceful cooperation. These are connected dimensions of social development. A political purpose takes practical form through institutions, resources, public responsibilities and the capacity to carry decisions into effect.
European affairs
European societies face questions of employment, housing, education, health, social protection and economic development. Their public systems differ in constitutional structure, financing, responsibilities and access. The League examines those concrete arrangements alongside the wider social purposes they serve.
Europe’s institutional landscape includes national states, the European Union and other international frameworks. Each has a defined field of responsibility. The League’s European perspective recognises that breadth and considers relations with China through both European and bilateral channels.
Political study and public explanation
The League’s statements express its position. Its briefings develop particular questions, and its reference records introduce the original works used in that discussion. Together, these forms connect political outlook with sustained study and clear public explanation.
The study of socialist development includes its theoretical foundations, economic organisation, provision of public services and relationship with the natural environment. The League’s European and Chinese dossiers bring these fields into a common collection while retaining their specific institutions and historical conditions.
International exchange
Internationalism includes the exchange of ideas, publications and social experience. The League’s correspondence concerns political study, institutional enquiries and proposals relevant to its field of work. The purpose and parties of an exchange provide its concrete basis.
Peaceful relations, sovereignty and cooperation are central to this outlook. The UN Charter and the Helsinki Final Act provide important references for the study of those questions. Europe–China relations connect that wider international field with trade, development, science and climate cooperation.
Public responsibility
The League is responsible for statements and original publications issued in its name. Accurate attribution, identifiable sources and correction of material errors are part of that responsibility. An external work retains its author and issuer; private correspondence is handled separately from public editorial material.
The website provides routes for general information, media enquiries, editorial questions, international correspondence and personal-data matters. Its public information identifies the organisation, its headquarters and administrative identifier.
